QuestionWhat are the dimensions? Also can it fit into a cabinet where a microwave is currently? What is required if any for ventilation?
- Answer You need at least 8 inches all around for safety reasons, but especially from the top since heat rises. It's about 20w x 12.5h x 19d. They don't recommend it though. I used an infrared thermometer while i was cooking to measure the top and got temps of up to 160F.
QuestionDoes it work as a toaster oven also?
- Answer Sadly, no. That's the only thing it won't do well since there's no bottom elements. I suppose if you really needed to, you could use the grill function and flip it over half way through, but it would take twice the time.
QuestionDoes it need 8 inch's space behind it as well? I have room on the sides and above just not behind. I saw the other answer saying all sides but wanted to clarify to be certain. Thank you
- Answer That's what the owner's manual says, but i backed it right up to my ceramic backsplash with no problems. It sits in the same place my smart oven sat backed to the wall as well for 3 years with no issues. I think it's just out of an abundance of caution.
QuestionWhen using the oven or air fryer can metal dishes be used. I’m confused because the Combi wave comes with a metal trivet and I know metal can’t be used in the microwave
- Answer My question was if metal pans could be used in the oven function. I guess I will stay with my Pyrex. I just bought the Combi wave and Iam impressed so far even though I think it’s rather pricey.
QuestionThe Combi wave 3 in 1 How hot does the outside cabinet get when cooking at a high temp ?
- Answer Its hot (glass and top of microwave). but not that it burns your hand. I've cooked over 30 mins. with small kids you should be careful.

- Answer You can use it with the air fryer and the oven, not with the microwave.

- Answer The convection feature on the Breville® BMO870 Combi Wave™ Microwave is used on various different functions including bake and roast.
QuestionI would really like a microwave that is also an air fryer, toaster, convection oven and grill. I can do away with all those appliances and just have the one on my bench. Are you likely to design this?
- Answer The Combi 3-in-1 is great, but it won't function well as a toaster; there isn't a heating element on the bottom owing to the microwave rotation plate. As a grill, it's possible, but you'd have to run it as an air fryer and elevate the food on top of a something that looks like a grill grate. In any case, indoor grills aren't great no matter what. So the Combi 3-in-1 is really a fantastic microwave/air fryer/convention oven. We keep a toaster oven along side it.
QuestionWill quarter size baking sheets fit in this?
- Answer The interior dimensions of the Breville® BMO870 Combi Wave™ Microwave are 9"(H)x 13"(W)x 13"(D). If the pan will fit within those dimensions, it will be fine.

- Answer There is a 'Grill' function on the Breville® BOM870 Combi Wave™ Microwave which will work for broiling.
QuestionCan I use the Combi Wave to bake cookie or cake? Is yes, what kind of cookie sheet pan or cake pan I can use? Can I use my existing metal cake pan?
- Answer Yes, use the oven setting. Use the pan that comes with it, it’s specially made and I wouldn’t try using any other metal. You’ll love this machine‼️‼️
QuestionThe round glass piece shattered (scary loud noise) while I was baking in the OVEN mode at 375%. I was using a disposable aluminum pan. What did I do wrong and where can I get a replacement glass? I have had this Breville - the Combi Wave for 4-6 weeks.

- Answer Generally proofing of bread should occur between 80 to 90 degrees F. The Breville® BMO870 Combi Wave™ Microwave has a low temperature setting at 100 degrees so it is not quite what is needed for Proofing.

- Answer The Breville Combi Wave air fryer makes fabulous grilled cheese. And, yes, one can toast in the Breville----but only one side at a time----but, it's not really a toaster.
