The camera filter portion of the kit has a filter clear aperture of 55 mm. It is up to the user to devise how they wish to secure the filter, Tape is the usual technique. We do not have a specification on how many photographic f/stops the filter darkens the sun, but the filter is ISO certified to be safe on a camera lens. Test exposures beforehand are recommended to zero in the optimum exposure for your particular photo system. Beware that any optical camera viewfinder that does not preview through the filtered camera lens will not be filtered and a look at the sun through the viewfinder can harm your vision.
