How is the detector mounted? Is the power source the cigarette lighter?   (5 Answers)

      Answer

It comes with a power cord that plugs into your cigarette lighter. It provides suction cups for windshield mounts and also a double stick Velcro pad to attach to the dash. However you must put it so that the rear facing Laser has an unobstructed view through your rear window. On my 2013 F150 I had to put it on the windshield so that it was high enough to be able to 'see' over the rear seats.

      • Question
Can anyone please tell me what the length of the cord is that goes into the cigarette lighter plug? I have a 2016 Honda Civic and my lighter plug is behind the shifter (drive, reverse, etc) and I want to make sure it'll be long enough to plug in. Thanks!   (2 Answers)

The cord is very long (I'd say at least 3 ft) and I like that they have changed from the traditional pig tailed coiled cord to just a straight cord. Makes it much easier to manage
