Not what you want to hear, but; we had the same issue first use. After spending 30 minutes on hold with Cuisinart, was advised to turn the brew knob back to "auto off". Did not seem to work, tried again next day, same result. I contacted firstname.lastname@example.org and had no response. Used "contact us" on their website. Finally got a response on how to return for exchange (you pay all shipping costs)....but did not answer my question on how to reactivate warming tray. Replied to their email with the instructions for exchanging......no response. We pulled it after day two and are using our previous coffeemaker. At this point, we may just return to Kohl's. Maybe you will have better luck in getting an answer.
