Dell will weasel out of any warranty they offer. It happened to my and I paid hundreds extra for their Premium Plus extended warranty. Dell has left me hanging with a broken screen and they refuse to send a replacement claiming it needs to be repaired but they can't get anybody scheduled to replace it.
