A:AnswerHello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer, along with all other Dyson products, are designed specifically for the countries in which they are made for and sold in, and machines manufactured for the United States are designed solely for 110-120v electricity. It is because of this fact that we are unable to have the machine converted to meet the specific country electrical code and laws. In order to use the machine in a different country a power converter would be needed. However, we do not recommend using a converter, as the unit will not perform at the normal expected life of a Dyson product. Please be aware that use of your machine outside of the country which it was purchased may void your warranty.
Best wishes,
Kelly

A:AnswerI had similar issues with mine. There is a filter that needs to be cleaned periodically at the bottom where the holes are. If that is blocked off it can cause overheating and it to shut off.
A:AnswerThis is simply a messup on bestbuy employees behalf, id recommend bringing it back for a return and exchange it for the same product :) although the blue/copper is limited edition just to let you know!
