Yes! The inside white lid pops out and there is a scan light underneath for using the templates for scanning 35 mm, 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 and one for 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 negs and transparencies. You scan in the proper mode in your scanner settings. If you want a decent print you need to scan at very high resolution which takes a bit longer than a regular scan but you need the quality of the high resolution scan as the negative are is much smaller than your normal print scan
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This scanner is intended to scan photos. I made a bad mistake buying it since I have not scanned the first photo or slide. I need a scanner for msc documents like taxes, etc. I am able to scan the odd document like W2 forms, and other tax related documents but you must do them one page at a time. I cannot get the buttons on the actual scanner to work at all. You must place the single sheet on the bed, close the lid, run over to your computer and click SCAN on the software popup. One at a time. By hand. Very inefficient and time consuming. If you want to scan some pages out of a auto repair manual for instance and print them out so as to not get grease on the manual-FORGET IT! It is kind of hard, no impossible, to hold a book open on the scanning bed and reach over and click SCAN. As I said, the buttons on the actual scanner do not work. Buy a scanner meant for books and documents. I wish I could get rid of this one and buy a better scanner for my needs.
