You can ask that the door be reversed before delivery, but I don't think that is generally done. My refrigerator's door was reversed by the crew that made the delivery; however, the men seemed a bit non-plussed by this additional work. Your delivery will be better or worse depending on how familiar the men are with the make and model you are buying. As for the fridge itself, we LOVE it.
