            Answer

For continuous use, the Dash Cam 35 will need to be plugged in. Without the use of a power cable, a full charge will only last a maximum of 30 minutes. Additionally, the microSD card included with the device is ready for use with Mac OS X. -LB

              Answer

Trucker Bob- The American version of the Dash Cam 35 does not allow audio recording (but the European version does). But you don't want conversations and cell call communications recorded as part of your video. Liability issues is on you. What if you are on your cell phone, being recorded on a dash cam, and you are in an accident. In the state or local municipality you are in, it may be illegal to be talking on a phone while driving. And even it is not, how do you think a plaintiff's attorneys will feel when he finds out you have a video and audio of your accident, in which you are on the phone. The firm mount is to the unit will be be dislodged in the event of a collision. If you need portability, for $199, just purchase another unit.

Can I buy the suction cup mount for this model like the Garmin 20 had? Adhesive is semi-permanent and messy to remove.   (3 Answers)

                Answer

Not right now, no. The standard suction cup mount we have for products doesn't provide the clearance needed; it will block the camera. I believe the adhesive mount was selected for the Dash Cam due to the use-case this product is intended for. During an accident, suction cup mounts may not hold, and dash friction mounts definitely won't stay in place. The adhesive mount was designed to allow for an unobstructed view while ensuring that in the event of an accident, the camera is much more likely to stay put. -JPK
