The DriveAssist 51 LMT-S offers 720p and 1080p resolution and records approximately 12 minutes per GB if you are recording at the Higher Resolution (1080p). This device can use up to a 64GB card. • Q: Does this camera provide lane assist  (5 Answers)

    By jerry

    • Best answerYes, it does so long as you calibrate the camera properly. You can also set the sensitivity and the location where you installed the GPS on your dash (left, right, or center), so it does not have to be dead center to work.

    • Best answerGood question. Yes, the DriveSmart 61 LMT-S will require the use of a compatible traffic receiver power cable if the Smartphone Link live traffic is not used. Both the GTM 60™ and the GTM™ 36 traffic receiver power cables are compatible with the DriveSmart 61 LMT-S. So if your other Garmin used one of these cables, you can absolutely use it! Thanks, James

  • Q: Hey, could I also use the navigation when I turn on the recording function? Thank you.  (3 Answers)

    By Patty

    • Best answerYes. The recording function comes on when your turn on the unit. The navigation and recording work simultaneously just fine. I have only had the unit a few weeks and just got back from a business trip with it. There were no issues with the two functions working together. When you look at playback from the video recording, it displays the location as Lat/Long and speed, so it can be real handy. You just have to touch the icon on the screen to turn off the recording if you want or go into the settings to turn off just the audio recording. Hope this helps.
