  • Q: Does this refrigerator have a 2nd optional ice maker  (4 Answers)

    By Dave

    • Best answerYes, BestBuy sales staff was unaware of this, but after I provided the item # from GE, they were able to set me up. It goes down in the freezer, works great, and I don't think the overall package would workout for me without this, due to the small volume in the included ice maker.

    • AHi Nurse- Yes, the models numbers are the same. When the model is manufactured, these extra letters/numbers are placed on the appliance rating plate and product registration card. These letters/numbers are used to identify manufacturing specific data when the appliance is made. Should service or parts be needed, these are used as identifiers for the specific appliance. We're excited to have you in the GE Appliances Family. Enjoy! SUE@GEA

  • Q: Where are the temperature settings for the freezer  (1 Answer)

    By Anonymous

    • AHi - The refrigerator has exterior temperature controls. Press Fridge pad or Freezer pad to adjust the temperature. The temperature adjustment only goes one direction. When you keep pressing the Fridge or Freezer pad, the temperature setting will go up until it reaches the maximum limit and then starts over at the lowest limit. For reference, see pages 9-10 of the Owner's Manual at the following link: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60792-2.PDF - Keep in touch! • Q: could you please give me the full electrical specs.. i need to know the voltage and wattage and amps please  (1 Answer)

    By electric

    • AHi electric- The refrigerator requires a 120 volt individual, properly grounded branch circuit with a 3 prong grounding type receptacle, protected by a 15 or 20 amp circuit breaker or time-delay fuse. Should be on a dedicated circuit. This is recommended for best performance and to prevent overloading house wiring circuits. The exact amps or wattage may be needed for use on generators and other similar applications. The rating plate on the unit has this information (To determine wattage, use: volts x amps = wattage. Note: Start-up amps and wattage are usually 3 times more than running amps or watts.) If running on a generator visit: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17354 - Thanks for checking with us. Enjoy! SUEatGEA

  • Q: Water and power location for GE 22.2 cu ft French door refer  (1 Answer)

    By Tori

    • AHello Tori - Facing the front of the unit the cord is on right 8" up & 2" over to left. This power cord is 61 inches long. The water valve on most GE refrigerators is near the bottom of the back of the refrigerator. Some models have the valve on the right when viewing the refrigerator from the back, and some models have the valve on the left when viewing the refrigerator from the back. - TREY@GEA
