QuestionWill the new 'nest' camera show up in the Nest app, or will I have to use two apps (Google home) if I have old Nest cameras?

QuestionHow long does it take to charge one of these cameras? I would use it primarily overnight so during the day we would charge it whenever the battery is running low. Speaking of low battery, will the app display battery life remaining?
- Answer They claim that under normal use the battery should last about a month. Charging from zero to full should take about 5 hours. And YES, the battery 'meter' is very large and clearly seen in the Google Home App.
QuestionIs there a way to have the cameras show up in the Nest App, like previous nest cameras? If not, how do you go about viewing the cameras live and recorded footage from a computer?
- Answer I just returned this camera, because of this issue. You can't view this NEST camera in the NEST app! Google is forcing people to sue their "Home" app. Two reasons I returned this camera -- (1) I now need to use the Home app and the Nest App, because certain Nest devices do not appear in the Home app. (2) MORE IMPORTANTLY -- you can not view this new camera from a browser!

QuestionI would like to install a camera above my detached garage. Is there a limit fir the distance from my router to the Google camera? Do I need a wifi extender?
- Answer Distance isn’t a limitation of the camera. It is all up to how you have your wireless network designed. If you can’t get good speed tests from your cell phone in that location then the cameras aren’t going to have good connection either. Every home or location is different and it is impossible for someone to give you specifics on your configuration. However like I said test the internet speed with your cell phone in that specific location and if you can’t get good speeds on your phone then yes you will need a wifi extender.

QuestionI plan to use the new Nest Camera Battery on wired power 24/7 (for streaming). The built-in battery will eventually go bad (as all batteries do). Will the camera still operate on wired power with a bad battery or will the battery need to be replaced?
