Yes you can use it on Xbox,,, sound is awesome
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When I first bought this headset I had an xbox one. I needed to plug the headphones into the xbox using the usb. This was only to turn the drivers on in the set. After this I could then plug the 3.5mm jack into the controller. Note: you cannot use the 7.1 dongle controller on any xbox. Merely to turn drivers on. Going to hyperx website there is also a driver update. This will also turn the drivers on. Most games do not even use surround sound but only stereo. You can make all these adjustments in settings on xbox, chat room options, and in game audio settings. I have had this headset 3 yrs come march 2023 and they get a minimum of 18 hrs a week. They are practically as good as the day I got them except for 3.5mm jack wear. I hear footsteps better than my brothers astro a 50s.

The wire of this headset is first connected to a small converter that has the volume and mute button and then that converter has a USB port on the other end that I connect to my PC. I think of you remove the converter from the middle, you should be able to directly put the headphone in your xbox controller. Hope this information helps.
