A:AnswerWith the microphone volumes maxed out in Windows 10 Pro and on the sound card on the cord, the bar on the Settings -> Sound options never peaks above about 25% even when yelling into the microphone. But there is a fix:
1. Download EqualizerAPO64-1.2.1.exe (reboot after this step)
2. Download PeaceSetup.exe (this is a skin that gives Equalizer APO a more friendly GUI).
3. On YouTube search for “How to fix HyperX Cloud, Alpha, Revolver & Stinger microphone recording level (ANY headset)” video. Follow the instructions provided in the video and you are off to the races. And just like that, the microphone is no longer on the “Con” list.

A:AnswerPhillip, it depends on which controller you have. If you have the newer style Xbox controller, it has the headset jack right on it, so you don't need an adapter. If you have the older style, then yes, you do.

The only problem I have with these headsets is that it doesn't come with any equalizing software. That is where APO Equalizer comes in:

3. Now you can setup an equalizer profile for both the microphone problem as well as adding equalizer for the headsets as well

I have this headset and love it. Had one for four years and I mainly use it for Xbox.
You plug the cord into the controller or controller adapter if you have an older controller you will need it.
Also need adapter if you want to control sound without having to go into settings.
The USB card doesn't work on Xbox.
A:Answerthis mic can be used for xbox but was designed for pc, so when i use it on console i usually just mute myself in the party or i use the little adapter thing that plugs into the controller to mute
