QuestionExternal power source?
- Answer The speakers have an attached USB cable that can be powered by the computer or the plug adapter into an outlet.
QuestionAm I correct that the speakers themselves need to be plugged into a power source, the two speakers are connected via 2' cable, There's no cable connecting the speakers to the computer, and the sound source for the speakers is provided via bluetooth?
- Answer All correct except there is a 3rd cable that you can plug directly into your audio jack of your computer/device. So both wired and wireless connection is supported.
QuestionIs there a cord between the two speakers? How long is it? Can you add an extender?
- Answer There is a cord between the two speakers. Its approx. 2 ft. long and is hard wired into each speaker. The only way to extend it would be to cut into it with wire cutters and splice your own speaker wire to it.
QuestionAre these complete wireless as I want speakers to be up in our wall shelves with no wires connected?
- Answer This system has wires between left and right speakers and the power cord.
QuestionThis product includes a 16W subwoofer? That's what the Amazon description in "Features" says.
- Answer If you read closely the description says each speaker contains a 16w subwoofer. It's built into the speaker, so really it's a woofer not a subwoofer. Marketing is stretching the terminology too far. Insignia's website does not include any frequency response specs. That should tell you they're nothing to brag about. For $29 bucks the reviews are good. But I'd move on if you're looking for wall-shaking bass.

QuestionCan you manually change to a set color? Or does it keep automatically keep changing colors?
- Answer Yes, you can change it. There is a button on the back of the right speaker that when pressed will cycle through the colors to stay constant or auto cycle.
