Where is this refrigerator made?   (1 Answer)

      Answer

Wherever it was made the design was not properly tested. The magnetic strips do not hold the doors closed. When you open and close the refrigerator door, no matter how gently, the freezer door pops open. I couldn't figure out what was going on right away. Items in the freezer would be frosted, the ice cream would be soft one day and not the next. Now I am noticing that the crisper drawer rails are bending with the drawer only half full. The drawer does not stay on the rails now. I have only owned this refrigerator for approximately 3 months.

Is this frig as easy to open as one with handles? Does it require more grip or finger strength?   (3 Answers)

      Answer

Almost as easy as one with handles. Requires a different ( kind of) grip and a little more finger strength since a handle allows you to use your whole hand as part of your grip.

No. There is only one thermostat located top, center of fridge. Temp range selections are presets, 1-5, and 3 seems to be keeping my fridge at a good temp.

Can anyone actually answer the question below about where this refrigerator is made, what country?   (1 Answer)

asked the salesperson who sold us the Insignia refrigerator and was told that they are made in the United States, however, that could have been a sales pitch - did a search on the brand and could not find the answer so more than likely they are made by one of the few refrigerator manufacturers, hopefully still operating in the U.S. sorry I could not be more helpful
