  • Q: so this is NOT a DP 1.4 cable?  (5 Answers)

    By CentralScrutinizer

    • Best answerFrom https://www.displayport.org/faq/ it seems 1.4 is not really available yet. Q. What is the current version of the DisplayPort Standard? A. DisplayPort 1.4 was published in March, 2016 and defines the new normative requirement and informative guideline for component and system design. Most DisplayPort products currently available in the market today (as of May 2016) were built to the previous version, DisplayPort v1.2a. Testing that is performed for DisplayPort device certification is also still based on the DisplayPort v1.2a Standard (devices must be certified to use the DisplayPort logo). Products built to DisplayPort 1.4, as well as compliance testing based on DisplayPort 1.4, should become available in 2017.

    • ADoes not state it is rated for 4K. I have used the cable in a 4K application and do not see a difference in picture quality. I would in my opinion say it is not rated at 4K

  • Q: Can not find specs on this display port cable insignia NS-PDD607. Will it handle 2560x1440 display at 144Hz ?  (11 Answers)

    By manoice2191

    • Best answerI want to say yes because this is a Displayport 1.2 (21.6 Gbps) cable. If you want to be absolutely sure, go with a 1.3. But I am pretty sure this cable would work for you.
