i would say use only a replacement made specifically by the manufacturer of the pressure cooker you have in other appliances this might not be so important but when dealing with high pressure equipment better to be certain the parts are all made to the correct tolerances. malfunctioning pressure cookers have been known to explode best not to risk that by using parts that are not from original manufacturer i used this one in the dynex brand pressure cooker and it works very well in that it might work in a different brand but i would never recommend mixing parts in pressure cookers
