It works with Netflix fine (not with HBO GO though)

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Input is supported for Bluray and DVD. As of May 2015, apps that worked for me are YouTube, Netflix, and Amazon. The remote did not respond for me in Vudu, Plex, HBO, or Crackle. These apps could change at any time for better or worse. You can test Spotify compatibility by simply hooking up a normal keyboard to your Playstation. If the ENTER, ESC, F1, F2, F3, and arrow keys on your keyboard can control the app, then this remote will work for you.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It will definitely control BluRay disks and music. It will also control many apps (such as Netflix), but with some it may function just like the normal controller and the play and skip forward/back buttons may not be used.
