The s9+ will store several floor plans, including those on different levels, and will continue to learn and perfect its cleaning behavior for each. This is all captured via the robot and shown in your app. The Clean Base simply provides charging and, in the case of the s9+, automatic dirt disposal. If you bring any camera-enabled robot (900-series, i-series or s-series) to another level without its base, it will simply return to where it started when its mission is complete.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That depends on how much debris the vacuum has picked up. If the iRobot has detected a full debris basket, it will return to the docking station, empty itself and then return to the area where it left off and resume the cleaning. My iRobot will run for about 45 mins between three rooms before deciding to revisit the dock to empty itself. And if you're asking how it maps the floors, as the vacuum cleans, it creates a map that is sent to the app you download. From there, you can name the rooms and also tell the vacuum to stay away from a certain room if needed. I hope I've answered your question.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It will clean until it runs out of batteries, you have to either move the base to that floor, or charge the Roomba then move it back to the floor you started and resume cleaning.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You just carry the S9+ to the other level and press 'Clean'. It knows it's on a different floor and creates a new map for that floor. They recommend you keep the base in it's original place and bring the Roomba back to the base to charge and empty. After a few times your new (additional) map will be ready and you can name that floor and rooms just like your main floor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can tell it what areas to clean once it maps the desired areas. Its in the app. It takes time to get all the areas mapped. Once it know the base station area if it need a to charge or empty the bin it will go back and do what it needs to do then resume.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It cleans multiple rooms, but it won’t clean multiple floors (assuming you mean levels). You’d have to set one up on each floor of your home.
