• A:Answer Turn ON the speaker and then Go to your settings in the iPod, choose Bluetooth. You should see JBL Xtreme option in the list, click on it and wait until it says "connected". Make sure that Bluetooth option is turned ON in the iPod settings.

• A:Answer I don't think it will fit in your water bottle holder. This speaker is the size of a full loaf of bread. Also, touching or pushing on the sides of the speaker (the subs) will damage them.
