Can I use just the left side without the right side ? null

No, the primary is the right side. So you cannot just use the left on its own.

The right side earpiece is the one that pairs with the device. Once it has paired you can use just the left earpiece as long as the right earpiece remains within contact range of both the device and the left earpiece.
