How do I know if a pod can be used in this machine? My question is similar to the previous question about the pods for this machine. I picked up some cups from HEB that said they were "compatible with Keurig brewers" but the machine doesn't recognize them. Am I missing something? Do the pods actually have to have the Keurig logo on them, because I didn't see any like that at my grocery store. Where am I supposed to get those pods?

Yes it looks for the Keurig branding around the top. Carefully Peel the entire top label from a true Keurig brand pod and lay it on top of the HEB pod and it will work

You probably have the newer Keurig 2.0 machine, which locked out non-keurig licensed pods. There are various workarounds abound online.

Hi Smantha: To answer your question, No, Kuerig pods aren't required exclusively. I use the starbucks pods and Gevalia pods, also green Mountain with no problems. Hope this helps.

You have to use the ones that has keurig on them! U can buy them from keurig site which they always have sales on the k cups which I like!

The 2.0 system has to have the white or lavender colored outer ring or the box needs to say for use in all Keurig models. You can buy in grocery stores, warehouse stores, or from the Keurig site. Just be sure to look for "for use in All Keurig machines "

I have found that pods with older packaging are not recognized in this machine. Other than that, any that you buy with the Keurig stamp should work.

Only keurig brand pods will be accepted on the 2.0 coffee makers. Keurig brand has some marking on the lids that allows the machine to read and proceed making coffee. The sell them at wal-mart. The ones you bought non-keurig can be used on the older models not 2.0.
