“Your specs page says the depth of thus stove top is 18 and 7/16 inches. Surely this unit from the surface to the bottom under the cabinet can’t be about 1.5 feet. What is it really? Thanks.”

Hello Joe, that is the correct height of the unit. There is Downdraft Ventilation underneath the cooktop and that accounts for the extra height. Hopefully this information is beneficial to you. Thank you for your inquiry regarding our KitchenAid appliances!
