- QuestionDoes this unit have a coolant? (1 Answer)Answers
The KCR40 uses a higher capacity heat pump unit in conjunction with heat pipe technology to provide the best possible performance. A heatpipe is a tube containing a small quantity of refrigerant under low pressure. At one end of the tube heat produced by the heat pump boils the refrigerant into vapour. This vapour moves rapidly to the other end of the tube where the vapour is condensed back into liquid form, from where the refrigerant drains back to the boiler. Due to the low pressure, the temperature of the heatpipe is only a little above ambient temperature.

- QuestionHow many watts does this refriderator draw (1 Answer)Answers
I am not sure exactly how many watts are drawn in a time period, but I do know that it is not energy start compliant, so it uses more energy that a normal miniature fridge. It is also thermoelectric cooled, so it has metal plates that get cold, not cold air circulation. There is a device that can be purchased from a hardware store that will tell you exactly how much power this lil fridge/cooler is pulling. hope this was helpful
