If you have iOS13, you will NOT be able to control through the App, but you can control using Apple Home (most of the time). Their customer service is not very forthcoming on when this will be resolved. As a matter of fact, they still have a bulletin posted on their site about the iOS12 issue and that was released over a year ago (Sept 2018).
