As long as there is enough space underneath it for airflow plus enough structure to install the rear mounting bracket and a permanent sturdy shelf to put the hanging bolts through to securely suspend it from above. These are heavy units that require a solid structure behind and directly above them for safe installation. Personally I wouldn't pay extra for the range hood over the stove model when a countertop model that will fit the cabinet would be a more reasonable option that won't require installation.

This model is specifically designed for over-the-range installation, as it includes a built-in ventilation system to clear out steam, smoke, and odors from your cooktop. Installing it in an open cabinet could interfere with ventilation and safety requirements. For non-over-the-range setups, a countertop or built-in microwave might be a better fit.
