“Is it possible to use a laundry machine tray with the pedestals? If I can even slightly modify the trays at $20 a piece, I would like to use those with the pedestals and still have the drawer function. My W/D are located on the second floor so this is quite a concern.”

We recommend that the measurements of your laundry machine tray will be able to fit under the pedestal. The dimensions for the pedestal are (WxHxD) 27" x 13.6" x 25.4" However, typically when pedestals are installed on top of trays, the drawer may not open because it could catch on the tray lip.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.So you want to use the tray under the pedestal, correct? I'm think the only way it would work is if you forgo the use of the draw. The lip on the tray isn't going to let you pull it out. And if you tried to modify the tray, you compromise the integrity of it and what it's intended to be used for. I get why you'd want to use one, especially being on the second floor. I had my LG front loader for 10 years with no problems. But there is always a chance. You could always try and waterproof the floor, if possible. Good luck!
