      Answer

Yes, this TV supports HDR (HDR10 standard). In fact, it's the smallest, cheapest unit that I've seen so far that supports HDR content.

            Answer

You do NOT need to upgrade your TV service. The TV will accept and play 760, 1080, and 2160, 4K programming. It will even play old video tapes in the 3x4 format.

              Answer

The display lag on this set is showing as 33ms, so it's got a very good response rate for gaming. Combine that with HDR for games coming out this Fall on Xbox One S and it's a great set for gaming for the money.

Does this tv upscale standard and normal hd content?   (3 Answers)

                Answer

The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG - 43" Class (42.7" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV - Black, Model # 43UH6100 has a resolution of 3840 x 2160. The old convention of giving a TV's native resolution was to just refer to the vertical resolution, in this case 2160p. This TV, like any other TV will always play content at it's native resolution and it has 4K upscaler. When presented with content that is not in its' native resolution, it will upscale to as close to its' native resolution. Full HD (i.e. 720p, 1080i, 1080p) will look good when upscaled, but standard definition (i.e 480i) will not look good because there is not enough data in that signal to make up for the difference between 480i and 2160p...^IFV

                  Answer

You might get a decent picture from posts that give out settings for the LG - 43 Class - (42.7 Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV, Model # 43UH6100 but keep in mind that true color calibrations are done according to the environment that the TV is installed in and even within the same house, calibration will differ from one room to the next. If you want the TV properly calibrated, you will want to get in touch with Best Buy's Geek Squad. Their services provide professional calibration...^IFV

IS it absolutely necessary..to have a sound bar with this TV ? ...I like in a small place and don't need it for any games..only a DVD player.   (3 Answers)

                  Answer

It honestly depends on your sound preference and tolerance. Like in my case, the tv could get decently loud but I could barely make out what anyone was saying because it was so muffled. I purchased a cheap vizio soundbar for this tv, only $80 and it made a whole world of difference. So no, it's not necessary, but is recommended for best entertainment experience, especially if you watch a lot of movies.

My picture isn't very clear. I am seeing pixels with a few of them, and in Batman v Superman, I noticed in the court room some of the people weren't clear and i'm thinking this can't be 4K. Although my LG says 4K HDR is displaying. Any help?   (2 Answers)

The 4K upscaler in the unit will upscale any source material that is not at that resolution, but depending on how much the signal is compressed from where it is being streamed from, it is possible that you will see pixellation, especially if your source is only 720p or 1080i. Without more information on what the source was for the Batman v Superman video you were watching, we cannot determine if that is why the picture is pixellated and some scenes are not clear. You may also want to check that the motion interpolation is turned off (i.e. Trumotion), that might improve your picture quality...^IFV
