- QuestionDoes this have the shock absorbers that are attached to the support rods and outer tub horizontally mounted on each of the four corner suspensions ? (2 Answers)Answers
no. this machine is not atl similar to the 7600HVA nor the 7500CW model . this is a old cheapie model. actually it seems to be the old 7050 or 7150 or 7120 or whatever it was that was out a couple of years ago that all these replaced. it DOES not have anything but some very Weak spring apparently holding the four corners . When you put a heavy load in it and fill it up it SINKS two inches down until it is resting on ITS BASE. unlike the 7600 which has some solid support to the drum and outside tub and can hold up a full heavy load ................... this 7200 is an old precursor model of all of them ............. oh it has the same outside case but the stuff holding the tub is simply not there. I got shot down trying to get a cheaper model during Memorial Day without tax since I had bought one May 5 ,,,,,,,,,,,, and had it delivered out to me of may 20th I was trying to set myself up to try a different model from Lowes which allows you to return machines with no questions asked. Best Buy was very implicit and I even had to sign several disclaimers that I could NOT return the washer at all after 14 days and that I would have to pay a 15 percent restock few on any returns and BB is getting to be very mean about that in the stores on anything over forty bucks in particular. well the return would have cost me a 150 or so bucks for the stores restocking fee. and I was advised I could not simply buy one and then "exchange" it for the same machine on Memorial Day to get that NO TAX on the thousand bucks for the 7600 machine and I could not return it either without a 15 percent restock fee. well I had to corporate HQ to get them to take back the 7600 model which did not have enough water and had NO steam at all and seemed to make a mess of everything. ie washing a comforter twice and rinsing it twice left parts of it completely dry and the rest Covered with lint . no lint catchers but at least the 7600 model is fairly solid and holds together without a lot of gear noise and grinding. that is because it's tub is supported and it has Less agitation on the bottom impeller and is more gentle on clothes than the 7200. the 7200 once you fill it up sits on its base and makes noise of all kinds and the gears sound like they are going to strip themselves the entire time and the gears and motor seem to have less HP and less solid and there is either NO sound insulation or the sitting right on its base makes it make so much noise. the 7200 does not have water plus although it claimed to and has a no work button for it. and both of the machines do not have enough water unless you trick them into sensing a heavier load which is pretty much done by weight. the way you get enough water is to stop the machines , throw them to a different cycle or not and come back to the same cycle after you have let it start its wash cycle. ON THE ADD A GARMENT SECTION. STOP IT . AND THEN IT SENSES A HEAVIER LOAD SINCE IT SENSES WET CLOTHES AND SOME WATER. IT TAKES FOUR RESTARTS TO GET ENOUGH INTO THE 7600 MODEL DOING THIS AN USUALLY THREE RESTARTS ON THE 7200 TO GET THE CLOTHES IN SUFFICIENT WATER. AND ONCE YOU DO THIS .................... THESE MACHINES WILL RINSE WITH JUST AS MUCH WATER ON THE RINSE AS it was using in the wash cycle........... IE A DEEP RINSE, BUT YOU HAVE TO BABY SIT THESE MACHINES. THE 7600 IS MORE SOLID AND BETTER ON A FASTER SPIN AND HOLDING UP BUT IF IT GOES OUT OF BALANCE , IT DRAINS AND THEN REFILLS BACK UP AND STARTS THE RINSE AND SPIN ALL OVER WHICH COULD GO ON ALL NIGHT. THE 7200 HAS A TERRIBLE SPIN CYCLE . IT CAN GET UP TO SPEED BUT IT IS SHUDDERING AND MOVING THE MACHINE A QUARTER INCH IN EVERY DIRECTION AND LOOKS LIKE IT IS GOING TO EXPLODE AT ANYTIME. NO WAY ITS MOTOR IS GOING TO STAND UP. SO NO THE 7200 SUCKS ON TUB SUPPORT. THE 7600 MODEL IS MUCH MORE SOLID AND MUCH MORE QUIET AND IN MORE GENTLE ON CLOTHES. THE 7200 IS TEARING STUFF TO SHREDS ON HEAVY LOAD. USE LIGHT LOAD AND MORE WATER. THE ONLY GOOD THING ABOUT THE 7200 IS TO ADD MORE WATER TO IT DURING ADD A GARMENT , YOU HAVE TO TURN THE WHOLE MACHINE OFF. THIS IS GOOD BECAUSE THEN YOU SIMPLY RESTART AND RESET YOUR CYCLE AND ON IF IT GOES OFF BALANCE IT DOES NOT RESTART ITSELF BUT AFTER A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME IT SIMPLY DRAINS ITSELF AND DOES A DRAIN AND SPIN OR DRAIN ONLY IF IT GOES OFF BALANCE . THE 7600 KEEPS REFILLING ITSELF AND TRYING TO GET ITSELF TO SOMEHOW BALANCE OUT THE LOAD IN A REDO. NO YOU HAVE TO TAKE A BIG COMFORTER OUT AND LAY IT AROUND THE SIDES AND BALANCE THE LOADS YOURSELF ON THESE THINGS. ONLY GOOD THING IS YOU CAN GET A DEEP RINSE IF YOU FOOL THE MACHINE INTO DOING A DEEP FILL. MAYTAG HAS TWO DEEP FILLS MODELS BUT THEY ARE ONLY DEEP FILL ON THE WASH CYCLE. THEIR RINSE CYCLE ONLY USES A FEW GALLONS OF WATER SO NOTHING GETS RINSED OUT IN THOSE MAYTAGS UNLESS YOU SIMPLY REWASH YOUR CLOTHES WITH NO DETERGENT IN THE MACHINE. i CONSIDERED THAT BUT SAID NO TO THAT SINCE IT WOULD BE TOO MUCH TIME. IF YOU ONLY USE AN 8 LB LOAD WHICH IS NOTHING. THESE MACHINES CAN DO OKAY. BUT 8 LBS IN A 5.2 CUBIC FEET WASHER............ NUTS. PROBLEM IS NOT ENOUGH WATER. BIG PROBLEM. BUT YOU CAN GET A DEEP RINSE WITH THE 7200 AND THE 7600 . STEAM IN THE 7600 DOES NOT WORK. THE WATER HEATER IN 7200 DOES NOT WORK EITHER. BOTH HAVE NUMEROUS PROBLEMS YOU HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO BEST GET AROUND. THE 7600 IS WORTH 200 MORE IF YOU GET THEM ON SALE. NEITHER ARE WORTH IT IF NOT ON SALE. NONE OF THE MACHINES TODAY WORK EXCEPT SPEED QUEEN 3.6 AND LESS CUBIC FEET. FUNNY THING IS THE LAUNDROMAT HAS MACHINES THAT STILL FILL UP WITH WATER LIKE BACK IN THE OLD DAYS.............. THESE MACHINES NOW WON'T LAST LONGER THAN A YEAR. IF THEY MAKE THAT.
- QuestionHow many lbs. max of dry laundry can I put in to wash at one time? (1 Answer)Answers
The ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 5.0 cu.ft. Mega Capacity Top Load Washer, Model # WT7200CW can also hold 20-22 pounds of laundry. The difference of 0.2 cubic feet between this model and the WT7500CW does not make a difference in terms of load capacity limits, but again, please keep in mind that while it is economical in both utility costs and time management to do full loads, you should never cram clothes and overstuff a washer just because you can. You also need to consider that the type of load will also make a big difference. 20 pounds of shirts is a lot different to 20 pounds of towels when they get wet...^IFV
- QuestionWhy are there no reviews on this model? Is it newer? (3 Answers)Answers
THIS IS A NEWER "MODEL" USING THE PARTS FROM OLDER CHEAPER MODELS................ SUPPOSED TO BE NEW SINCE IT HAS A BUILT IN HEATER BUT IT ACTUALLY THE MODEL THAT PRECEDED THE 7500 AND THE 7600 WHICH THEY STOPPED MAKING BECAUSE IT HAD PROBLEMS.. SEE OTHER COMMENTS ON SUSPENSION QUESTION. THIS MODEL IS NOT ADVERTISED RIGHT AND IS NOT WHAT THEY SAY YOU ARE BUYING . PERIOD.
