  • Questioncan we hookup our computer to this tv?we have a 50" flat screen samsung that we use as a computer monitor. we can print etc. is there an input we can use for this purpose? your specs say no pc input. we have a wireless printer hooked up to our computer. can you print from the tv browser?

    Asked by bparty.

    • Answer Yes, I hooked up my PC directly from my video card (HDMI out to the HMDI input on TV to use as a monitor. They do make DVI to HDMI adapters though I'm not sure if there is any quality degradation with sound and/or video using an adapter to make the connection. I do have a fairly high end (custom built) gaming PC with high end video cards but as long as you have DVI or HDMI output from your PC video, you should be able to connect to an HDMI port on the TV. You can find the DVI/ VGA to HDMI adapters online or perhaps even your local Best Buy, Radio shack, etc. If you're just looking to use as a monitor then you can use your standard input (Keyboard and Mouse) to navigate your PC for printing etc. The TV is just acting as your monitor so once you find a way to connect to the TV, the TV should not be any different then if you were hooked up to a computer monitor. It may be more awkward using your PC on such a large "monitor" but if your TV room allows, it may be easier if you purchase a wireless mouse and keyboard to allow you to sit further back from the TV/ PC for viewing comfort. In regards to printing...again, your TV is just replacing your monitor so nothing changes in regards to using a mouse and keyboard. Hope this helps.

  • QuestionHow wide is the TV stand?Could you give me the width of the stand?

    Asked by Drice.

    • Answer The supports for the TV are 46 inches apart. I know this only too well, as my old stand was only 39 inches wide, and I had to buy a new TV stand. I would recommend a TV stand of at least 48 inch width.

  • QuestionI this tv multi voltage and freq?Is this tv also for 230 volts 50 hertz? PAL? Usable in europe?

    Asked by Toti.

    • Answer Hello Toti. While the LG - 55" Class (54-5/8" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 3D - 4K Ultra HD TV - Black, Model # 55UB8500 is a dual voltage TV (AC 100 - 240 V) and dual frequency (50 / 60 Hz) unit like all other LG TVs, it has 3 tuners built in that will only work on the ATSC, NTSC-M, 64 & 256 QAM Television Systems and will not work with PAL broadcasts! If you have a Blu-ray Player, DVD player that plays region A or region 1 discs, you can plug the TV into a socket abroad with the appropriate socket adapter and watch the discs, but it will not receive PAL or MESCAM broadcasts nor will you be able to playback discs from any other region other than the aforementioned ones. If you had a unit that is multi regional or multi system, then you could adjust it to match your TV and do it that way. There are some converters available (though somewhat pricey) that could also provide an alternative...IFV
