This slide in is just a glorified free standing range. Has no lip to sit over counter as slide ins of the past had. Might as well by a free standing.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It doesn't have the over hang like the Samsung but it isn't flat. It has a lip on the inside thought. All around and doesn't drop off on the back like the Samsung. But in general it doesn't have the sides that go over each side of the range. I didn't get the Samsung because it's completely flat and spills or over flow could slid off the back of the range. Hope this helps.

I was told this when I asked about filling the gaps however I have solved the problem by using glass counter protectors butted against each side of my stove. I can put hot pans on them and they look nice. I also have a large butcher block wooden board that fits nicely on the stovetop when not in use to protect from breakage. My microwave is above the stove and I didn’t want to drop anything on it. Gives me extra counter that way also.
