What kind of colleagues do you have? A computer mouse doesn't have a gender. If you like the style/color, who cares what they think anyway.

If you are a female, tell your friend it is a woman's mouse. Otherwise tell them it's a men's mouse. Or declare the mouse gender un-specific, and be done with it.

One of my students is undergoing gender reassignment and has no problem with this device, so I'd say this is a transgender mouse.
