To give you the picture, i sent 200 tracks of audio in fl studios on my $2500 windows build, and did the same on the macbook pro. 55% of the cpu was used on my windows computer, and 23% was used on the macbook. The macbook is an absolute beast and is more than cable of running all the programs mentioned in the question. It really depends on how dense your projects are. I suggest watching YouTube videos to give you a clearer understanding of the macbook performs under heavy load.

Please try again later.Hi, I’m not sure about video editing, but I use Avid Pro Tools and Apple Logic Pro on mine, and even with large projects I haven’t found it to get too hot to where it was probably reaching thermal throttle. I have fairly large projects with many audio plug-ins and still find that I have a lot of CPU resources to spare.
