• Depth is 32.89" with the door closed, i would say it's about 57" with door open. The door opens from the left side (hinged on the right) but it is reversible

• It is 56 inches deep with the door open, and I probably gave a little wiggle room there. Maybe 55.5 inches, to be more precise, but I'd go with 56 to be safe. The door opens to the right. Like the passenger door on a car. I am not sure if it is switchable, or not.
