Simple answer is no. I am the OP of the question and ordered another one without an answer anyway. It came in a busted shipping box and belongs to lot number 2022 and model number FST-00001. it was broken on arrival, again with defective sticks and face buttons and this time also a defective RB. This is a joke at this point. Microsoft and Best Buy should both be ashamed of themselves for selling this product. There is a reason Best Buy's protection plan has gotten more and more expensive since launch; they know it is a bad product. Good luck if you ever order this junk.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Just pick one today, 10/21/2020. Lot number 2029, to replace my lot 1938, the issue on my old one, of course, was the notorious joystick drift and RB bumper that would work when it felt like, even when I hardwired it in. Anyways after reading your question and you answering yourself, I agree with you 100%, this is an issue that needs to be addressed and MS should for old version either do a free replacement or repair. And yes my new one is still a FST-00001. I’ve yet to test this new controller, but I hope it does not repeat. This is truly sad cause I do have the Series X on order and I can only hope this issue on the elite don’t carry over on console. I guess for now, one can hope and continuing to keep it under warranty just in case of failures.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Today 5/29/21. I ordered the fst-00008 and they shipped the fst-00001. So to answer your question. It’s still no, they are still shipping the defective one. Probably due to the large amount of returns I bet.
