• Yes, it will work with Direct TV. You will need to update your direct TV to the newer Genie cable box which they did free of charge for me.

• I just purchased a Samsung KS8000 series TV and 2 of these cables. I have Directv and an Apple TV, the cables DO NOT work with either piece of equipment. All I get is "no signal." Put the regular HDMI cable back on, picture is perfect.
