Hello, does the Netgear 1900 compatible with the Netgear 1200 which I am currently using with the Spectrum Ubee cable/wifi modem which runs at 2.4 and 5? In other words can I have both wireless extenders in different part of our 2 storey home?   (1 Answer)

Does this use the same SSID (wifi network name) or does this create a new SSID (different than your home wifi name)? I read somewhere that some wifi extenders create a new SSID.   (3 Answers)

Sorry it's a home computer so I hard wired it into the router, but I believe it's off the same home wifi. Hope this helps.

I have had this extender for over a month, and it worked fine. For the last week it seems to be very inconsistent and at times can barely get a strong enough signal to open an email on my phone or laptop one foot away. What gives?   (1 Answer)

I have not had this problem with mine yet but I know I've had to reset and reconfigure my home network with others in the past. If it keeps happening, you may need a replacement as it is highly annoying when you are in the middle of something and your signal drops.

It depends on your base Wi-Fi modem/router and how close to the extender the Xbox and iphone are to the extender.

Our home is 2100 square feet...all on one level. Our router is in the far end of the house. We plugged the extender in the center room of the house and have great internet in all of the other rooms.

It will work with any wifi. It's a repeater or you can use it to make a plugged in connection from a wifi signal. It doesn't matter what brand etc, just that is a wifi signal you can "see" at setup
