      Answer

No, the CM1000 is strictly a cable modem; it doesn't have a built-in wireless router. It needs to be connected to a separate wireless router.

    • Question
Is this modem 1000mb? The pic of box say up to 6gb? The netgear page says the new 3.1 standard is capable of 6gb or 6000mb. The Aries DOCSIS 3.1 model says it can do up to 10g. So how can this only be 1000mb?   (4 Answers)

        Answer

The LAN port is only 1000 mb, so that is the upper limit of the throughput you will see at your router. The DOCIS 3.1 standard allows for faster speeds, but I have not seen any faster connections being advertized at this time.
