It’s designed mainly for emergency situations, so for regular use the camera does need to stay plugged in at all times to operate properly. As for storage, the camera supports up to a 128GB microSD card, which is perfect for capturing plenty of footage with ease before overwritting. If your vehicle doesn’t have a cigarette lighter socket, no worries you can still get everything set up smoothly. We offer a Hardwire Kit that can be purchased separately, which allows you to connect the dash cam directly to your vehicle’s fuse box (https://nextbase.co.uk/accessories/series-2-hardwire-kit/) or directly into the OBD port (https://nextbase.co.uk/series-2-obd-hardwire-kit/) for a clean and reliable installation. QuestionWhy does installation not include the rear camera on Nextbase - 320 XR Front and Rear Dash Cam with 32GB micro SD card. When I looked up installation said not with rear camera installed. I would like to know if rear camera can be installed.

- Answer Not sure of the question, but the rear camera is simply mounted with adhesive, the only challenge is running the wire to the front camera to power / connect it.
