  • QuestionWith a 128gb sd card how long will it record before it loops over ?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Bit of a tricky question but in loose terms the front-facing camera, which records at a constant 1080p @60 fps, will fill up cards at the below rate: 8GB MicroSD = 60 minutes of recording 16GB MicroSD = 120 minutes of recording 32GB MicroSD = 240 minutes of recording 64GB MicroSD = 480 minutes of recording 128GB MicroSD = 960 minutes of recording However, this doesn't necessarily mean you will get 960 minutes of HD video before it starts looping. You can also have the camera create low-res AND hi-res duplicate copies of each file for ease of use so your mileage will vary based on how you set it up, that is your HD mileage will vary I should say. PLUS, if you get the rear-facing camera it records at 720P resolution so smaller files but still it is taking up the same sd card so once again your time overall with 1080P video will vary before files (which are not tagged as keepers) start getting written over. Here is the user manual so you can better understand, good luck, I enjoy mine with rear-facing camera. https://cdn.nextbase.com/nextbase-en-gb/2019/03/NBDVR322GW-User-Manual_R3.pdf Oh, I should mention you can record without audio so that MAY create smaller file sizes so possible more than 960 minutes of video...I think, lol. OR just forget about anything you don't want to save and let 'er rip :) and tag the ones you want to keep and they will never get written over until you copy them off. Rick.

  • QuestionCan you view the camera in real time, remotely? I got one on Amazon but the camera has to be connected to the phone with WiFi to view in real time. I installed the hardwire kit. I just need a camera I can view from my phone at all times. Is there one?

    Asked by ER.

    • Answer Hello, Thank you for reaching out to Nextbase support. I understand that you're looking for more information about the 322GW model. This dashcam connects to your phone via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, so you’ll need to be nearby for it to connect. You can download recordings to your app or phone for later review, but please note that real-time remote viewing isn’t available with this model. If real-time viewing is a feature you’re interested in, I recommend checking out our IQ model on our website: https://nextbase.com/smart-dash-cams/iq-smart-dash-cam/ If there’s anything else we can assist you with, please let me know! - The Nextbase Reviews Team

  • QuestionI just purchased my camera and was surprised that it did not come with an SD card. Will this camera hold a 256 GB card?

    Asked by Will.

    • Answer Hello Will. The microSD card is not included in the pack. We give customers the option to use a max sized 128GB card. We recommend using a Nextbase microSD card for bets results. These are sold at Best Buy. Thanks, Nextbase

  • QuestionIs the next base 322WG suppose to get hot ? I just bought this on 06/02/21 used it for first time while driving home from work and it was hot when I removed it from the mount. This has me concerned as to I don’t want to have issues after my return date .

    Asked by Kem.

    • Answer Hello Kem, All of our cameras are tested between -20'C (-4F) to +45'C (113'F), although if the car temperature exceeds this you could potentially experience issues. We'd recommend removing the Dash Cam and placing in the glove compartment when the Dash Cam is not in use to prevent it being unnecessarily heated on the windscreen. When storing the Dash Cam for an extended time period, store within the following temperature range: from 0° to 25°C (from 32° to 77°F). Under the mount is a heat sync, so this is the part of the camera that will get hottest. It's nothing to worry about, they're designed to cope with the heat they produce. However excess heat can be caused by a failed SD card. Are you using a Nextbase SD card? You will need a compatible card and to format via the camera's settings every two weeks.
