For it to be a light you just need the hue hub, the white square one. For it to sync up to your TV you need the Hue Sync Box, the flat black one.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depends on what you want to do with the entertainment area. If you want to be able to control it with your phone (Philips Hue app), then no. If you want it to change colors based on the video to your TV, then yes. There is a separate box, that you run your HDMI cable through, that then changes the lights, and brightness to accent the image being sent to the TV.
