It sounds like there is a defect in the charger if your controller is not on it. Now if the controller was on it and it was flashing I would say that the battery pack is dead and won’t hold a charge and you need a new rechargeable battery pack.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you wanna see if the battery is dead remove the battery from the controller and hold it on to the charging stations prongs for a couple of seconds(without interrupting the connection) make sure they're lined up perfectly. If the blinking persists then the battery is no good. If there's no blinking and its charging like normal it was just a poor connection to the charging dock. Just try re-positioning the control or try charging the controller without the back cover. If the prongs on the station is even slightly sticky and stuck in a pushed in or even slightly pushed in position the prongs will not be long enough to make a proper connection with the metal slivers on the battery through the thick cover. another probable issue besides it being mechanically jammed is that the prongs are just dirty, dust, dirt and or oily residue from your hands can cause issues with charging ports causing poor connections, jams and even sticky pieces. you should gently clean it with the proper cleaning solution or try some isopropyl alcohol and any kind of cloth thats clean and wont create lint and such cotton balls and qtips or no good maybe swaps i just use a clean shirt. this will remove the any oils on the both the port and the battery. if theres lint or dust or dirt compressed air would do the trick
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. From what I understand it flashes red when the base doesn't make a solid or complete connection to the battery.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My Xbox one dual charging station is not lighting up
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.had the same problem put a new battery in same controller and now red light is solid all works now. flashing red light means to me battery is bad.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Other people might be seeing this q&a 7 years later just wipe the part that contacts the prong with a cloth and started working just fine
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you are not getting a solid connection, it will not light up at all. If it is flashing RED, then the battery has died. Unfortunately, the company that makes these rechargeable batteries make them with a short life cycle so you have to buy more.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. For anyone that passes through here, it either means your battery has overheated, it has been overcharged, or it's bad, or you're using the wrong AC adapter. If it was charging fine and it starts blinking red that means that it's either overheated or overcharged. Let it cool down or if it's at 100% then stop charging it. If you're using the wrong AC adapter then it'll flash red even if the controllers are not on it. Make sure the power supply says 5V 1A on the sticker on the plug. If it says otherwise like 12V 3A then you cant charge the batteries and you'll need to get one that says 5V 1A. You can easily find them online, just make sure it's the right connector for the charging dock.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. My issue was resolved after taking it off and re-settle the controller correctly. Must have been a bad connection. I have used my batteries for over a year now and only had this happen once. Cleaning my controller and batteries with alchohol wipes helped I am sure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine works fine but I leave it on and charging for several days and it only flashes when it’s been on for a long time, and just a couple seconds ago I touched the battery in the controller and it was hot. Maybe the reason it flashes red when a controller is on it is because the battery is being overcharged? Because it doesn’t flash red until it’s been green for maybe a day? But I think it just means to not charge it at that moment because if I leave it off he charger and put it back on it goes to green again.
