Both increments are available. You can hold down to make the adjustment happen in larger increments or push the button once to adjust by smaller increments.

A:AnswerThis model is known as one of the quieter treadmills available. A glance over the 55 reviews on this product page alone shows 5 mentions of how “quiet” it is, 2 mentions of “low noise” and 2 more mentions that it is “not noisy” with no complaints of noise.
A floor mat can also help to reduce noise from your treadmill.

A:AnswerYes, but the calories you burn is simply a high-level estimate, so you want to wear a heart rate monitor strap (can be paired to the T10 through blue-tooth for tracking) or wear a fitness watch with that capability (some can be highly unreliable for heart rate accuracy during heavy cardio exercises).
A:AnswerYes, it's slow release after you unlock it from the upright position. On his first try, my husband pushed his foot against the gas canister thingy labeled with a footprint decal and had no problem releasing the platform down. It took me a few tries to get the hang of it because you sort of need to be pressing your foot against it while slightly pushing up the platform at the same time before it fully releases. I have dogs & totally trust they're safe around the equipment because it's highly unlikely they'd be motivated to push against the platform when it's upright, let alone be able to push/pull on it at the same time. I don't have kids around, yet they'd have to be left attended and keep banging against just the right spot while push/pulling down on it. Regardless whether slow or not, once released, it would be a nightmare for a child to be underneath the platform as it comes down. Other than cleaning underneath it, I have no reason to pull the platform up anyway, so I'd leave it down if you have that option when the kiddos are around.

A:AnswerThank you for your interest in our products. This treadmill does not have a built in heart rate monitor but is compatible with Bluetooth Smart heart rate monitors. Once the heart rate monitor is connected, the readings will show up on the treadmill display.
