Actually, you may be directed after loading Quicken/setup to go to a Quicken download page and download an earlier version to ensure that your data file will be updated for use with Quicken 2017. The new program appears to be good for two years, which may mean that you have to "re-subscribe" a couple of years from now. "You’ll still be able to use Quicken to view all your data, enter transactions manually, and view/print reports. Online-based features will be turned off, meaning you won’t be able to download transactions directly from your bank or use Bill Pay, but you will still be able to enter transactions manually and access all your data. If you decide to renew your subscription, all the online-based features will be turned back on. (Note that this does not apply to the Quicken Starter edition. If you are using Quicken Starter, all your data will become read-only when your subscription expires.)"
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can convert your older file to Quicken, but it will require an upgrade to an intermediate version of Quicken first. You can find more information about that here: https://www.quicken.com/support/how-and-when-use-intermediate-version-convert-older-versions-quicken. The 2018 release of Quicken is a subscription product, and we have several versions available; you can read more about the 2018 Quicken products here: www.quicken.com
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I put mine in "archive" I think I could have backed it up on the hard drive, on line, or used a larger scan disk (they do mention a cd) Then I read about the yearly charge which is more than I gave for the 10 version. anyway I took it back to ask questions to Geek squad (they didn't know and don't support it) and of course Best buy won't give your money back. I don't need or want to tie any thing to a banking system. Any way I put 8 back on my NEW computer and it works fine. I did use a larger disc just because it was handy. seems to work fine. Sorry I couldn't be more help. Regards Mike And that's the day after we spent well over $10 on some TV stuff.
