• All the cases even Otterboxes have the sides more flush with the phone so you can have access to the edges. There is a lip on the top and bottom to protect front but I understand your concern bc I'm concerned myself... But all the cases have the side edges more exposed. Great case and I tried all of them at best buy

• You need have additional protection for the front. I like it this way, because the added protection is clear and I can see who is calling or texting without even picking it up off my desk.

• Do you mean there is no lip for the front? Most cases don't protect the screen, that's what screen protectors are for. Tempered Glass.
