The oven is versatile. You can use any of the features individually (microwave, convection, grill) OR you can use them in various combinations! This feature increases your cooking flexibility greatly. It is important to find the feature "numbers" in the book to know which buttons to push to get which "combi"/joint features. Some have their own buttons, while others require a choice within a different main option. (I wrote down the ones I use the most and keep them by the machine until I memorize them.) But YES! You can have convection only!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the way i figure it, the microwave and convection oven probably cannot run simultaneously. you cannot put a metal pan in a microwave. so t wouldn't make sense that they would design it so it would run at the same time. however, make sure that if you are running the microwave that you are not using a metal pan. it's easy to forget. if you forget, the microwave will make sounds because the metal will cause it to arc.
