  • Q: How do I know if finish is smudge proof?  (4 Answers)

    By Anonymous

    • Best answerThe RF23HCEDBSR has a real stainless steel finish that is not fingerprint or smudgeproof. There are, however, a number of products available specifically designed to clean real stainless steel. Simply follow the instructions on the package. Another option is to apply a small amount of baby oil to the stainless finish using a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. This will not only clean the stainless steel, but can help prevent fingerprints from recurring. Thanks for your question, Ms. Samsung

    • Best answerPull UP and OUT on ice bin front...it will slide out. Kinda funky with no where to grab. Didn't want to stick my fingers in the grinding exit hole. Just grab hold of the whole face.

    • Best answerIt sounds like your fridge is in Demo mode. Try pressing and holding the top 2 left buttons (Freezer and Alarm) for about 5 seconds until you hear a chime and it no longer says "OFF"

    • Best answerHi Mike, The capacity of the RF23HCEDBSR is determined per Energy Star's measurement standards which, as of last September, are based on actual usable space without the ice maker. The ice chute would also not be included in "usable space". Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

  • Q: temperature of water dispensed when the filtered water is dispensed, it is cold or chilled or room temp?  (8 Answers)

    By floss

    • Best answerHi Floss, The RF23HCEDBSR has a water reservoir in the Refrigerator that holds approximately 1-2 liters of water. If it sits there filled for long enough it will chill to the temperature inside the Refrigerator. As water is dispensed, a new supply is drawn in, which will cause the average temperature of the water in the reservoir to be somewhere between your tap water temperature and the Refrigerator temperature. Thanks for the question, Ms. Samsung

    • Best answerHi Manlius Mike, The RF23HCEDBSR is 68-7/8" tall without the hinge cover and 70" with it, and Samsung recommends leaving at least an inch above the unit (not counting the hinge cover) for circulation and ease of movement. I don't have the specific dimension for the length of the hinge cover, but if the space is 69" high and 24" deep, then it's likely the hinge cover will make contact, and, unfortunately, the available space would not provide the recommended clearance for air circulation. Perhaps you'd like to consider the RF220NCTASR which offers nearly 22 cubic feet of storage in a shorter and narrower frame; the dimensions are 29-3/4" wide by 66-3/4" with hinges by 33-7/8" deep with the doors but without the handles. The case depth is 30-1/2" and the depth with handles is 36-3/8". Thanks for your consideration! Ms. Samsung
