the convection cooking is an option that can be turned on or left off, depending on what your doing at the time...(nice option) And the new stove comes with the burner jets for conversion to propane...

That being said, there are similar Samsung models without the convection option at a slightly lower price. This unit comes with pieces that allow one to hook up to natural gas.
