A:AnswerThe 9000 series is the next tier up from the 8000 series and I believe the highest Samsung tier. I reviewed both the 8000 and 9000 series on line, checking the ratings, reviews and available literature as well as going to Best Buy and viewing both of them. In my opinion the difference in cost did not justify the purchase of the 9000 over the 8000. I am very happy with my 8500 (curved screen model of the 8000 series) . I hope this was useful.

A:AnswerMost likely your internet connection isn't fast enough to stream 4k. You need 25Mbps download speed, and most people have 10-12. There is a speed test function on Netflix website that will help you measure your connection speed. You can also visit www.speedtest.net

A:AnswerUHD are Samsung's conventional lcd-led 4K television's. SUHD are their quantum dot 4K TVs which have much better contrast and color reproduction. Samsung's SUHD TV's are 10 bit panels enabling High Dynamic Range. Quantum dot, 10 bit , HDR technology is only outdone by the very expensive OLED technology
A:AnswerWe have direct TV and the picture is great. You can use either the Samsung remote or the Direct TV remote. We haven't bothered to subscribe to the 4k channels from Direct as the picture so far is super. We have the curved TV model. Seems like you could reach out and touch things on the screen. Very happy with the TV.
A:AnswerYes the connect box is required. There are no HDMI inputs on the tv itself. The connect box has 4 hdmi inputs, one fiber optic audio output, and a unique large connector for the cable between the connect box and the tv.
A:AnswerUHD (which is called SUHD by samsung) is 4k resolution. SHD usually refers to 2k resolution. 4k is about twice the resolution of 2k. Depending on the room setup, you may not be able to notice the difference between 4k and 2k. But some people prefer 4k because of bragging rights. Though if you really really want the best picture possible, go with OLED. The difference is incredible.
Samsung claims that the curved TV has a better panel than the flat TV. Supposedly the curved TV prevents reflection and allows for a wider viewing angle.
I can't comment much on the price, because the prices fluctuate so much, especially during sales. With black Friday coming up, you should definitely be able to find the TV you want on deep discount. In my experience Best Buy usually has the best (or second best) prices on all their televisions, and they are willing to price match many places. So you shouldn't worry too much about getting the lowest price.
A:AnswerI know this an old question , but for the Phonak TV Link II to work the TV has to set to -- Menu > Sound > Digital Audio Out > PCM. It will not work if set Dolby Digital. Of course my audiologist stated it would work.
A:AnswerI asked that exact question before purchasing my KS8500 and never really got an exact answer. The way it was explained to me is that the MU is still a UHD Tv but that it uses a different technology than the quantum dot SUHD. The guy said that the QLED is supposed to be more like LG's OLED tvs, hence the name. Apparently the blacks are supposed to be blacker which makes the picture cleaner. I ended up going with the KS because the construction and all around quality of the KS seemed to be much better than that of the MU. Also, anywhere I looked, the reviews for the KS model tv's are spectacular and the Best Buy associate that helped me said that it was one of their best selling tv's of all time. That is ultimately what helped me make my final decision.
